Therapeutic Book Club

Moms + Dads, this one’s for you! The next book club in our Therapeutic Book Club is called “Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be” by Dr. Becky Kennedy.

“Good Inside” offers an effective and empowering approach to parenting with actionable strategies that will help parents move from uncertainty and self-blame to confidence and sturdy leadership.

Using this book as a guide, we will dive into the deeper elements of parenting (such as perfectionism, guilt, rage, comparison, feeling feelings, anxiety, people pleasing, etc.) and focus on re-parenting ourselves.

While we still get together and read a book (like a traditional book club), we also use the book to do deeper personal work.

We apply the content to our own experiences. We share in circle and small groups, write, make art, and engage in somatic work, with the intention of deepening the learnings – moving it from our head into our heart and body.
